Last month: We had to have a plumber come to the house to fix our upstairs toilet and sink. I had tried to fix the toilet myself and had installed a new tank interior, but it still leaked. Toilet and sink repaired: $485.
This month: A plumber came out again for our kitchen sink. Not too bad of a problem, and now I feel confident in handling a similar problem for myself in the future. Lesson learned: $85. Sam's car had a flat and the other tire needed to be replaced, among a few other odds and ends to fix up. Honda repaired: $182.
Next month: My Toyota has two bald tires. Baldness Repaired: Probably around $150.
Blah! I'm glad we had some money in our savings! Time to rebuild the nest egg. If this happens again all at once, we're switching to an outhouse, manual spigot, and bicycles!

Yikes!!! When it rains it pours, huh? It's a very good thing you guys had money in savings!! =)
Keep smiling Kelly. It must be in the air. On Saturday, I got a call from our neighbor behind us in desperate need of an oven. Just so happens that I was making cookies but she was supposed to take dinner to the missionaries so she went and grabbed a take and bake pizza, turned on her oven and flames started shooting up from the bottom (broken) coil. The pizza got cooked and all was well.
Then yesterday, my neighbor across the street calls in a panic and asks to borrow our car, their garage springs broke and they both were stuck in the garage. Jeannie took Matt to his training and then came back and I took Jeannie to work.
Our food delivery service had their cooler break and they lost everything in it, the trailer they use broke it's axel on I-70, the delivery truck's tire fell off, two of their drivers quit on the same day, and the dairy that we get our milk from was struck by lightening and it blew out the homogenizers and three other things around the farm.
So laugh instead of cry and know that...like High School Musical says...We Are All In This Together!!!
