Our Life Together

Rexburg, ID, United States
We've been married for 5 years! We met here in Rexburg, Idaho where we lived in the same apartment complex, volunteered with similar church callings, and attended the same university. It was only a matter of time before we'd bump into each other! Kelly graduated with her bachelors in psychology and has since been working with mentally ill adults and children. She has been accepted to Drexel Univeristy for her Masters in Higher Education Administration and Organizational Management. Sam recently graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with his bachelors in English Literature. We've had so much fun and so many growing experiences in the past 5 years, and have weathered so much good and bad during our young marriage. And we love each other so much more as a result of the happy and sad experiences that we have gone through hand in hand with each other and with the Savior. Our life is a simple one, but it's ours and we're glad to have it.

Sick, Sick, Sick

I woke up Tuesday morning with a sore throat and a runny nose, more runny than usual that is ;) and I felt off somehow. Sam had a sore throat too.  I came home early from work that day. Sam's sore throat had gone away thank goodness but mine was still present, and my nose was showing signs of a sinus infection. The next day, Wednesday, I became really dizzy, more than I've ever remembered feeling, but the feeling passed and Sam took me to my doctor's appt.  Got on some antibiotics that afternoon, and also developed the first signs of a congested cough and a higher fever than earlier that day.  So, needless to say my sinus infection has turned into bronchitis (I think) and I have been home since Tuesday afternoon. Sam's been my good little buddy and helping me out; and I am sooo thankful he hasn't caught anything from me. I spray Lysol on pretty much everything I touch.

This past year and a half  has not been my forte when it comes to staying well! Still, I am much better than last year working at the daycare, aka the germ factory.

Be very careful! Did they do a blood test to rule out swine flu? Hope you feel better.

They did do a blood test on me, a standard cbc, to check my white cell blood count. I'm not on a very strong antibiotic since I am allergic to a few of the strong ones in the penicillin family. I may go back into the doctor's tomorrow to go for a stronger antibiotic and may just have to take benadryl with it in case of an allergic reaction. No cases of swine flu yet in Idaho expect maybe one in Boise, from a woman in her 60s who had recently visited Texas. I just have a nasty predisposition of having my sinus infections leading to chest infections. But we're being careful; I've barely touched Sam in the past few days except an occasional touch on the arm and whenever he's touched something that I've touched I remind him to go wash his hands. Plus Lysol-ing everything :)

Thank you each for the get well wishes! (And I'm glad you liked my pics Sarah!) I went to the doctor yesterday and he prescribed my avelox, a stronger antibiotic not in the penicillin family. I was put on it a few years ago when I had pneumonia and it worked. The doctor also gave me an inhhaler too. Yay for medicine!
