Our Life Together

Rexburg, ID, United States
We've been married for 5 years! We met here in Rexburg, Idaho where we lived in the same apartment complex, volunteered with similar church callings, and attended the same university. It was only a matter of time before we'd bump into each other! Kelly graduated with her bachelors in psychology and has since been working with mentally ill adults and children. She has been accepted to Drexel Univeristy for her Masters in Higher Education Administration and Organizational Management. Sam recently graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with his bachelors in English Literature. We've had so much fun and so many growing experiences in the past 5 years, and have weathered so much good and bad during our young marriage. And we love each other so much more as a result of the happy and sad experiences that we have gone through hand in hand with each other and with the Savior. Our life is a simple one, but it's ours and we're glad to have it.

Jim Brickman

Sam knows me so well!! I have loved Jim Brickman since I was a teenager! Okay, I have loved his music, but he isn't bad to look at either ;) I saw him in concert when I was 20, and then Sam and I went together really early in our relationship when Jim was performing at BYU-Idaho a few years ago. Well I learned that Jim was coming to BYU-Idaho again this year and I mentioned it excitedly to Sam, but that was it; I didn't mention us going because finances have been tight still with my new job and waiting for my clientele hours to improve. A few days before the concert, Sam approached me in our kitchen and showed me a confirmation page for Jim Brickman tickets! I was so happy and touched that Sam would surprise me about something I really enjoy.

So we dressed up and attended Jim Brickman's concert on Sat. Oct. 10th. It was wonderful!! Jim is an excellent pianist and has a playful sense of humor with the crowd. And I'm happy that Sam enjoyed the concert as well :)

Here we are at the concert:
