Here is the kindness story....
I work as a psychosocial rehab. specialist. As such I help mentally ill adults live healthier lives in all aspects needed: psychologically, socially, financially, medically, vocationally, etc. I interact with a lot of people such as therapists, doctors, probation officers, etc. Well, one of my contacts is the owner of an assisted living residence, and he learned through one of my clients about Sam and his kidney disease. (Sam has come leaps and bounds with his health, but still has much lower energy levels and many days of feeling sick, which is normal especially during the first year after a transplant.) Anyway, the owner called me and offered a job to Sam. The amazing thing is that he had never even met Sam. The owner has only known me about 6 months. Another amazing aspect of this job offer is that the owner created the position specifically for Sam--the physical aspects of the job were light and if Sam wanted to he could work just one day a week. Sam is exerting his best efforts as is this semester with school, but he will keep the offer in mind for a possible future position.
I am so grateful for the kindness of others! We have been richly blessed by our families most of all, but also by our friends, and even strangers. Thank you!

Never heard of the Kitty Litter Cake so I looked it up!! GROSS!!! But I'd love to make it for a party or something...too funny!!
That is really cool about that guy offering Sam a job!! Blessings indeed!!
I know...wouldn't the cake be hilarious as a "welcome to the neighborhood" treat for a new family moving in?! Or for a Halloween party? lol
